    Default Cabinet

is there going to be a problem with heat build up in this cabinet with 6 controllers. i was thinking of putting a fan with a gause filter but didn't think it was needed. the controllers will have the premium heat sinks and will have about an inch on all sides. i am using this for my arches near my house and feed on a 16 conductor cable to each arch 8 channels per arch it is mounted on a dolly so i can roll it out and have all the cables coming out the bottom to go each way.

    Kurt,
I design controls enclosures at work. For these I have to do heat calculations depending on the amount of heat dissipated by each device, size of enclosure, and ambient temp.
Hoffman has a lot of information on this page of their website.

I use similar enclosures for all of my controllers. I have 4 single controller enclosures 2 doubles and one quad. I put them in the yard close to the lights they control. This way my extensions don't need to be so long.

I have seen some the way you are doing it that have turned out very nice.
One thing that will help you with your heat dissapation is to mount the controllers right to the metal not plywood. Which increases the heat sink size and is exposed to the cooler air. I mounted mine to the door then ran the wires to the recepticals in the bottom. Here is my website page on my controllers http://bazillionlights.com/Tech/LightsTechLOR.html .
You may be able to mount yours to the left and right side walls instead of the door. This is how I did my 4 controller enclosure. I live in Michigan so heat dissipation in December is not an issueAs a matter of fact the snow doesn't even melt on my enclosures
